My Diamond in the Rough is a Quiet, private, spacious, rustic location in the
Southeastern corner of New York’s Adirondack Park with Boating & Fishing Access.  

Our Location / Directions:   Ottenburgh Road, Clemons, NY 12819 between historic
Route 22, and the shoreline of Southern Lake Champlain. Almost 9 miles north of
Whitehall, NY(Birthplace of the Navy), 17 miles south of Historic Ticonderoga, NY.
East of the Lake George Northern Basin. (Clemons is a hamlet of “Town of Dresden” in
 the northern end of Washington County.
  
Biking: Bike Route 9 "Northern Section".

a) Private launch “Ottenburgh’s Ramp” between Buoys 18 & 22 west of Maple Bend Island. East from Route 22 to end of paved town road "Ottenburgh Rd", Stop to "register", then proceed onto Private Drive, carefully cross railroad tracks straight to Launch.
[Fee may apply for non-Fishing Club members; Trailer accessible launch is shown on
DeLorme’s NY & Southern Lake Champlain nautical Maps. FishingHotSpots map
shows docks.    
b) Free NY DEC South Bay boat launch is located about 6 miles south.(with new handicap accessible fishing pier).  

Waterfront Views: Big boats often go by, traveling north toward Canada, or south
towards the canal system that starts in Whitehall with Lock 12, that allows you to
travel thru the Hudson River, and into the Atlantic Ocean and beyond.

Camp Sites:  Advance Reservations Required. Check availability at any time.
Full Hook-up(Septic/Water/Elec); Water/Elec.  Seasonal Specials available as
upgrades are being made to update to New 50/30/20 amp sites. Phone hook-ups &
separate elec avail. Former Mobile home sites are expected to be available for Park Models.

Activities: No planned on-site campground activities or playground. Real Camping is a
 time to enjoy family time. Our central location is great for visiting the famous Lake
George resort area, or visit near-by  Historic Whitehall or Ticonderoga. New Wi-Fi is available Free for registered guests, other guests may access for a fee.

Facilities: Functional, Not Fancy. Two ½ baths (Toilet/Sink), Two full baths
(Toilet/Sink/Shower w/hot water). No pool/swimming beach on the property. Docks are being built. call 518-499-2790 for availability.

Closest Stores: small - about 9 miles south, Large – about 17 miles north. Plans are
being considered to re-open our Camp/Country Store. (Applications encouraged for
anyone that is interested in operating Country Store on a profit sharing basis.).

Caution: Fish Tales are told here; but at least one of my long term campers has the
stuffed fish, and photos to show that his stories are far from Tall Tales.
