RULES: 1. The tournament will be double elimination.....2. The match winner will be determined by winning the best 2 out of 3 games. Each game of the
match will be played to 21 using rally scoring.......3. A team shall consist of 3 males and 3 females on the court.....4. The positioning of the players shall be
alternating male and female.....5. Under no circumstances may a team play with less than 6 players on the court.....6. Substitutions may be made
(male for male, female for female) by rotating out the front right position and the sub coming in at the server position......7. If there are not six players
at the scheduled start of the match, the first game will be a forfeit. There is a 10-minute limit to start the second game. If 6 players are not present at
the end of the 10 –minute period, the second game and the match will be a forfeit.......8. Teams must switch sides for each game.......9. Service may be
made anywhere along the end line......
10. The server should call the score with each service......11. When a ball is played more than twice by a team,
a female player must make at least one of the contacts.......12. The ball must be clearly seen in the hands of the server and be clearly hit for service
13. The ball may contact any part of the body on or above the waist providing such contact is simultaneous and the ball rebounds immediately
14. Scooping, lifting, pushing, or allowing the ball to roll on the body will be considered a held ball and illegal.......15. Two time-outs per game will be
allowed for 20-seconds each......16. Blocking can only be done by front row players. Attacking the ball in front of the 10-foot line can only be
done by front row players......17. The receiving team on a serve cannot attack the serve. The first hit by the receiving team shall be a bump
18. Only the team captain may address the officials......19. To help ensure player safety, blatant interference by a player (in the judgement of the official)
with an opposing player who is in the progress of playing the ball, shall be declared a fault and a sideout or point will be awarded......20. Misconduct shall

This years event has been expanded and improved. New for this year will be the addition of Coed 4's and a Corn Hole tournment.
There will also be a DJ. at the tournament site. There will be the traditional Friday night participants party including complimentary food and
beverage (Beer) and music. There will be an old time favorite "the costume contest" (Theme is yet to be determined).
Saturday evening your first beer at St Hazards will be on Volleyball Associates. St Hazards will be running specials on drinks and food all weekend
as well as special pricing for Lodging packages. Hazards will also have a band Friday and Saturday night and Saturday afternoon. Free T-shirts will
be given to all participants. Volleyball Associates is also hoping to have a late evening ferry back to the mainland for persons leaving on Saturday.
This years tournament will consist of coed 6s all divisions including Masters (Males 40+ Females 35+)and Rec. (backyard volleyball).
Corn Hole will be 2 person teams in coed, Mens and women. Divisions will be according to skill levels. For the first time cash prizes will be awarded

This a No-Rotation tournament 3 Guys & 3 Gals with a reverse raffle. This event is to benefit the Adam Gaspar Family.
It will be held on March 8th at Luthern High School West in Rocky River on Linden Rd. Starting at 9:00AM

So, this is how it works. BB to Open level players, register as a pair (1 guy, 1 girl) and play coed 4s the entire day with your partner.
Rec to B level players, register as a trio (2 guys, 1 girl) and play coed 6s the entire day with your partners.
Teams are formed 'randomly'
by joining your pair/trio with another pair/trio against the other team formed the same way.
It's a ton of fun!!! And there is so much volleyball to play
it's the best bang for your buck around!
Here's a new twist... Because this is a grass tournament and we can host multiple courts,
there is no limit to the number of pairs/trios. We must have at least 4 pairs or 4 trios for either division to work.
However, we're working on a pool play system that can take up to 16 of each -- maybe more.
Register early!
There is a backup indoor venue (Jennings CLC) in case the weather is bad. The first 7 pairs and 7 trios will be invited to join us indoors if that happens.

This years event has been expanded and improved. New for this year will be the addition of Coed 4's and a Corn Hole tournment.
There will also be a DJ. at the tournament site. There will be the traditional Friday night participants party including complimentary food and
beverage (Beer) and music. There will be an old time favorite "the costume contest" (Theme is yet to be determined).
Saturday evening your first beer at St Hazards will be on Volleyball Associates. St Hazards will be running specials on drinks and food all weekend

The open gym at Revere (Richfield) will be available for play most Mondays and Thursdays that the school is open.
Play is at the Hillcrest grade school (actually a good gym space/equipment) which is on Revere Rd. , near the intersection with
Everett Rd. It is across the street from the High School.
The gym will be open from 7pm until 10:30, possibly 11:00 pm.
The cost is $3 per person. People ask me all the time what the level of play is like -- though it varies from week to week,
depending on who comes out to play, call it "BB" on average.
