Private residence bed and breakfast located off Mill Road, one block from the Village Green and Gazebo, Main Street, Westhampton Beach and approximately one mile from Dune Road (the beaches). Saint Marks Episcopal Church, The Hampton Synagogue (631-288-0534), yacht basin, movies, bowling, and some of the areas restaurants, are within easy walking distance. The Hampton Jitney stop located at the Gabreski Airport and Long Island Rail Road Station are a short cab ride away.

If you’re travelling by automobile, consider spending time in Connecticut. Did you know that the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Steamboat Company was started by P.T. Barnum who, as a statesman, is credited with casting the deciding vote for the abolition of slavery after the Civil War. Bridgeport, located in Connecticut’s beautiful Coastal Fairfield area, hosts a museum in P.T. Barnum’s honor. Reservations are suggested for the ferry from the scenic Village of Port Jefferson (Exit 64 on the LIE).
Or just chill out in The Hamptons. If you've brought your children, check out events at the library where they can learn about the Shinnecock and Montauk Indian tribes, early settlers of the area. There are many activities for kids, places to visit and horseback riding are nearby. Driving distance minutes follow in parenthesis: Remsenburg/Speonk (10), East Quogue (5); Hampton Bays (15); Southampton (25); Tanger Outlet in Riverhead (15); Sag Harbor (50); East Hampton (50); Montauk (80); don't neglect an excursion to the vineyards and picturesque villages on the North Fork, including the seaport village of Greenport (40) where you can ride the ferry to Shelter Island. At Orient Point (60) you can take the Cross Island Ferry to New London and explore New England or enjoy a day at Mystic Seaport, Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun; Another idea is a trip to Block Island.
