Activities include tables rondes for conversation in French alternate Wednesday mornings at Boy Scout Headquarters, 1 Scout Way, Doylestown; a monthly lunch at a restaurant, during which only French is spoken; special presentations by members and guest lecturers; festive gatherings including an annual picnic to celebrate le quatorze juillet ; and special interest activities such as Scrabble in French. Our members have access to French videos, cassettes and current magazines. With the cooperation of teachers in the local schools, we have presented French skits in classrooms and shared our French lunches with high school students. Teachers have invited us to come into the classroom to help with their programs.
