During Christmas 1997, I was working for a
Medical Research firm in Chatham, New Jersey and had gotten very friendly with
a number of the people who worked there.
At Christmas, those who knew each other well
exchanged gifts. Some people I knew better than others, so some gifts were
no-brainers. However, there were a few people whom I liked that I had no idea
how to shop for.
I went to a mall and started browsing. I
walked around the store, accessing the whole time. Sometimes as I passed a
display, I would see something and I would get a feeling that this was a gift
for someone. Often, I would also know for whom it would be suited to.
Of course, each time I selected a gift I
double checked it by testing. Doing this, I was able to purchase gifts for
everyone on my list.
Afterwards, I got a lot of phone calls from
the recipients telling me how perfect the gift was.
In one case, I had bought a Christmas Ornament
for one special lady. She called me back and asked, "How did you know I
collected Christmas Ornaments? I love this, and I'll always remember you by
it!".
Another lady received some Bon-Bons because I
had an image of her reclining on a couch being fed Bon-Bons. She also called
me to tell me that she loved them, and how did I know?
This went on and on with the other gifts I
accessed for people.
In past years, I had always felt clueless
about gift buying. I had let my ex-wife choose gifts, and I usually just
agreed with her choices. I felt that she was more clued-in than I and made
better choices.
On my own, I've chosen gifts for people which
were nice, but never elicited much excitement from them. Even though I really
shouldn't want something when giving a true gift, I really get a kick knowing
that the person likes it and appreciates it.
Being able to do this 6 for 6, was just
amazing to me. This was another time when by accessing I was able to live
another vision I had of how I wanted my life to be. Also, another time that I
got information from outside of myself and my own knowledge-base.
I just love it!
Often, I've played Santa for the kids in our
family. This year I felt like Santa for the first time. I knew who was naughy
and nice (*grin*), and what present they wanted in their heart.
VERY COOL!
