This Website was created in loving memory of CH. Earmark's The Spitfire Girl (Percy) a Calico Shorthair female Scottish Fold. Percy was born in our Master Bedroom on 12/30/97 and passed away while asleep in her favorite spot in the front room early Easter morning in 1999. Percy was an only "child" and came into this world kicking, screaming, and hissing! My goodness, I had never heard such a fuss out of such a small kitten in the 12 years that I have been breeding Scottish Folds....Thus the name "The Spitfire Girl" which is a variation from one of my favorite movies The Spitfire Grill where the heroine "Percy" has an untimely death at a young age. Ironic? Yes. Heartbreaking? Very, very much! Funny thing is, Percy never lived up to her name. She was the most sweet, loving, kind, and gentle cat I've ever come to know. Percy showed her gentleness to everyone she came in contact with including the other cats/kittens residing in our home. Most Calico cats are known for having a bit of an attitude, but not Percy! Even the CFA judges at the cat shows she attended made a point of saying " My, how very sweet this cat is....And she's even a Calico!!" That was my "Percy". Who I love & miss dearly!
