Bio
This rare gem is no stranger to music., She started playing the violin in the third grade. Through out high school her teachers kept her busy by giving her a new instrument to play until she had learned to play them all. She was offered a seat in the Stanislaus County Symphony Orchestra when she was in the tenth grade. If she had accepted she would have been the first, youngest black female to play. After High School she went into the business part of music. Working for record/entertainment Companies and booking bands in local lounges.
She worked with a lot of the Bay Area’s finest, singing backup and doing studio work.
Just to name a few; Wayne DelaCruz, Darnel Gill, Richard Walton, Billy Dunn, Pamela Hawkins, Alvon Johnson, Executive Suite, Big City Review, No Mercy Band, FunniBone, RoShamBo, Tabu, Kinky Machine, A Few Good Men, She Plays the Rubboard with the TeeFee Swamp Boogie Band, toured with Reggae Angels, Ricardo Scales, (she’s also on there 2 new CD). She’s toured the East Coast with EC Scott, and share the stage with Ray Charles. She has performed at the Stanhope House in Stanhope NJ, Buddy Guy’s place in Chicago, Fleetwood Mack’s place in Marilyn, House of Blues in Cambridge MA, Myrna has also performed at Gary" Motown Sounds in Nagoya, Japan and a long list of other well known places. She has performed in Vegas, Tahoe, Sacramento, San Jose, all over the San Francisco Bay Area.
From Swing to R&B, Motown, Blues, funk, Reggae, Pop, Rock, Jazz, she has performed it all. From roadie to sound tech, to a classy backup/lead singer who’s always dressed in something entertaining.
