THE EKPHRASIS PRIZE

Beginning next year, we will change the selection process for the Ekphrasis Prize. The Prize will be awarded to the best poem published in Ekphrasis in that calendar year. No contest and no reading fees will be required. All poems published within a given calendar year will be considered for that year's Ekphrasis Prize.

We salute all of our contestants. We received 271 poems in our competition, and picking a winner was a very difficult task. We received many excellent entries! The winner and finalists will be published in the fall/winter 2008 issue of Ekphrasis, projected to be out in September 2008. All of the contestants whose work has been selected for publication have been notified.
