The Adoption and Search of a "Booth Baby"
Legacy of an Adopted Child

Once there were two women who never knew each other,
One you do not remember - the other you call Mother.
Two different lives shaped to make yours one.
One became your guiding star - the other became your sun.

The first gave you Life and the second
taught you to live in it.
The first gave you a need for Love
and the second was there to give it.

One gave you a nationality, the other gave you a name.
One gave you the seed of talent, the other gave you an aim.
One gave you emotions, the other calmed your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile, the other dried your tears.

One gave you up...
It was all that she could do.
The other prayed for a child...
And God led her straigt to you.

And now you ask me through your tears
The age old question through the years:
Heredity or Environment -
Which are you the product of?

Neither my darling, neither-
Just two different kinds of Love.

A Tribute to My Birthmother Patricia Ann Carnahan Markham Webb: This is the webpage I made in memory of my birth mom Pat. Sadly, I will never know her, but I have my siblings to keep her memory alive!
My Adoption Story: Here you can read about me! I have the details of my search for my birth mother here. Also included the information my parents received from the state case worker when they adopted me which was incorrect. Nothing my parents were told about my birth mother when I was adopted was true!!
Meet My  Family!! I am working on this webpage of my a-family who I love dearly. As soon as it is done, I will upload it to this site!!
Booth Memorial Hospital Information: Here is all of the information I could find of Booth Memorial Homes run by the Salvation Army here in the US. And honestly, there wasn't much!! SA also ran Door of Hope and White Shields Hospitals and Unwed Mother's Homes. Depending on the city, the name of the hospital was different.
My Birthmother is FOUND! Read the bitter sweet ending to my search for my birthfamily. It wasn't a very long search, only 2 and a half months.
My Birthfamily Reunion September 16, 2000:  Here is all about the first visit I had with my 3 sisters and brother. We met at my oldest sister's house, which is just 45 minutes from my house!!
My Search for My Birthfather: The identity of my bf remains a mystery. I have made this web page in hopes someone will recognize the man's picutre on my site. I believe this is my birthfather and his name is Andrew Manzel (?alias) or Phil?? Can anyone help me??
My First Trip "Home": This is all about my  weekend in Centerville, MO to meet my birthmom's husband and family. Ironically, we went on what would of been my birthmother's 60th birthday.
My Favorite Adoption Links:  The title says it all!
