Owners Who Owned All Ten AFL Seasons
OWNER

Ralph C. Wilson
HONORABLE MENTION
Wayne Valley
Houston Oilers 1960-1969
Dallas Texans 1960-62; Kansas City Chiefs 1963-69
Boston Patriots 1960-69
Buffalo Bills 1960-69

Oakland Raiders 1960-69
Wayne Valley was one of eight partners in the original Oakland Raiders. The eight inverstors were headed by Chet Soda. In 1961, Valley and two of the other original investors, Ed McGugh, and Robert Osborne, formed a general partnership. That partnership bought out the other investors, who wanted to sell, get out or fold.
Thus technically Valley was always an "owner" but it wasn't until '61 that he was able to go to owners meetings. You know what I mean?
EXTRA HONORABLE MENTION
            Ralph C. Wilson
Ralph C. Wilson owned the Buffalo Bills. But did you know also know that he owned Oakland Raider stock as well?
In 1961, he loaned Wayne Valley and his partners $400,000 because the original Oakland partners wanted to fold the team. And if the team folded, the American Football Leagie might have folded as well. It would be impossible to play a season with only seven teams.
That's why Ralph gets an Extra Honorable Mention. He saved the AFL.
