Roxie is an adult classic fawn female with natural ears and a cropped tail. A nub of a cropped tail. It is so cute to see that little nub wagging away when she's excited. She is a VERY outgoing girl. LOVES everyone, especially men. Loves to play with toys, race through the house and steal my shoes. She is wasting NO time, in getting to know the basics of living indoors. She does not seem that inimidated by it, but she still is anxious, and in her pictures she was terribly nervous. I'll retake the pics of Maggie and Roxie after they've settled in. This was there first day here and they were terrified to be on a leash, for one thing, and then have a camera flashing in their faces. Roxie is learning the "go potty" on command fairly fast. She is so eager to run and leap and play, she wants to get her business out of the way. She adores her sister and has been perfectly fine with some of the other dogs she has met so far. She's lived with females and males her whole life. Out of the current three that arrived, she will be the one that will be available for adoption first. We just need to get some basic obedience and house training skills down. She's already sleeping quietly through the night in her crate. It took a couple of nights, but now she settles right in. She roars out in the morning, leaping through the air with happiness and ready to run outside to do her thing. She does one thing that has been so typical of dogs that have lived in breeding operations. She noses all of the food out of her dish. Right now both Roxie and Maggie are fed in their kennels, just while we go through our assessment time. She likes to dump her food on the bottom of hers...I dont' know if she's telling me that she'd rather have some home cooking, or what that means. She did get a dinner of hamburger and rice and noodles one evening and seems to want to go back to that. :O) She is all sweetness and cuddles. She'll make a great pet for some happy family. Willow will be available for adoption after the 28th of April, if we feel she is ready. Willow's adoption donation will be $250.00 |
