Salute to John Rocker
Here by popular demand is the salute to John Rocker. Rocker is a decent pitcher. He's not fit to hold Pedro's jock strap, but then again no one is. Rocker is famous for another reason besides his pitching ability though. Rocker has a big mouth. Most of the people in this country are in an uproar for Rocker's racist and hateful remarks. I however salute Rocker. I don't necessarily feel the same way he does (some purple haired punks are pretty cool), but I don't think he was wrong for saying them.
Today's society is waaaay to politcally correct. I for one think you can take your political correctness and stick it up you...well...I don't think I'm allowed to publish a page that says that here, but Rocker has a right to feel that way. He has a right to say it. If you think he's a bad man for it then you are a hypocrit. Everyone has hateful thoughts and beliefs. Everyone looks down on someone or another. Don't lie to yourself. You can relate to some of the things he said.
Rocker should not be punished. Why be punished for voicing your opinion? It isn't a popular opinion, but it is his. Don't look down on the guy. You feel the same way he does and we all know it. So stop your belly aching and watch the guy pitch. That's his job. He's a pitcher. He's a pitcher that doesn't like a lot of people, yes, but he's a pitcher and nothing more. Not a spokesperson for the Braves. Not a role model. Not a public relations expert. So once again I repeat myself. Shut up and watch him pitch.
John Rocker, I, Pope BMart, and most of the rest of the Followers of Pedro salut you. You are a man who isn't afraid of all the politically correct pansies, not afraid to voice your opinion as unpopular as it is, and I think we need more people like you.
