Here at Bright Water Farm we hold mostly "clinic Style " lessons. Steve will also have private lessons and take dogs on for "in house" training.
At Bright Water Farm we have a mixture of sheep, which provides challenges at different levels of training. We also change them them twice yearly to assure that the sheep will not "sour". And if you are looking for "dogged" sheep to buy, please let us know, as we have them from time to time. We have a training field which is excellent for the training of young stock dogs. We have both fields and trees, creating pressure points and an area to to practice blind "out runs". Steve will set up situations pertinent to your dogs training level . He believes that you should also not just have lessons but also teach your dog to work out farm situations. He will sometimes have people and their dogs move sheep to pens, through shoots and do some of the set up for others. This kind of training is valuable and can be obtained through the clinic style lessons. We contact a group list weekly,via email, to let you know when lessons will be that week. These lessons are strictly week by week. If we are home on the weekend, there are usually lessons one or both days. When day light is available we offer mid week lessons in the AM and PM. Private lessons and "in house " training is available as well and can be obtained by either phoning or emailing us.

CLINIC STLYE LESSONS: $25 PER DOG (GROUP LIST)
PRIVATE LESSONS: $50 PER DOG/ PER SESSION (ARRANGED PRIVATELY)
"IN HOUSE TRAINING": $400 FOR A FOUR WEEK SESSION. DOES NOT INCLUDE FOOD. DOG WILL HAVE A MINUMUM OF FIVE LESSONS A WEEK. WE SUGGEST FOR MORE THAN FOUR WEEKS OF TRAINING TO GAIN A GREATER TRAINING BENIFIT. MANY TIMES THE FIRST TWO WEEKS ARE AN ADJUSTMENT TIME FOR DOGS. ALL DOGS MUST BE CRATE TRAINED, LEASE TRAINED, NON AGGRESSIVE, ABLE TO GET ALONG WITH OTHER DOGS, BE UP TO DATE WITH THEIR SHOTS,. AND APPROVED BY STEVE FIRST! THIS IS NOT A PET SITTING SERVICE. THIS IS NOT AN OBEDIENCE TRAINING SERVICE. THIS IS NOT A KENNEL. STEVE LIMITS THE DOGS HE WILL TAKE EACH MONTH.
