JENNIE'S REPRISAL: A Soul's Evolution From Atlantis To Eternity
Reviews, page 1
Carol Bennett's weaving of spiritual beliefs and real life challenges into JENNIE'S REPRISAL provides an intimate perspective on the events in all of our lives that are ordinary to the outsider, but that are soul-wrenching and life-changing to us.   Based on numerous reviews, it is this aspect that is the strength and potential of her writing, because it seems to resonate with the reader at a deep level, providing answers and hope in the face of similar events in their own life.  The social value of this novel goes far beyond mere entertainment; it is in effect a modern day fable that speaks to the heart and soul of the reader as no philosophical text can, because its every day language and context is familiar, enabling us to interpret its message and ultimately discover personal meaning in its pages.  Reinforcing reviews below, and on the following five web pages:
I am blown away!!!  Loved every minute of this MOST amazing and beautiful book -- was intensely curious to find out where JENNIE'S REPRISAL would go next and how all of the connections fit in -- amazing!!!  Carol Bennett brings us into Jennie Gravatt's heart and soul and opens the door for the reader to experience her longings, her searchings, her passions, and the incredible passion, love and connection of her twin soul ---- a love at a depth so profound, Bennett has the reader aching to experinece that incredible love and passion of two souls bound.  One can't help but to also travel to the heights of love that brought tears to this readers eyes.  I was right there, immersed and living it, and feeling it all as well.  Let this book sweep you away and impart its subtle messages into your heart and soul -- your heart and soul will be eternally grateful -- you will be forever changed.

Just finished JENNIE'S REPRISAL, and I LOVED it!  I cried over the depressing parts, cried over the happy parts, got goosebumps numerous times and, of course, cried some more.  ... So many parts of the book hit right home.  ... I have been turning more toward self-sustaining life practices and relying less upon technology and such things as the media, relying more on intuition and what just feels right.  JENNIE'S REPRISAL takes everything I've ever wondered about, or been mad or happy about, and made it readable and interesting without turning it into an unbelievable mushy fairy tale or been-there-done-that self-help book.  ... I am very glad that Carol followed her path to write this book, as it's helped me to grow.  How, I don't know yet, but something's different!
Profound and informative.....  Finished this dynamic book and was sorry to see Jennie's journey end in text.  I feel it's one of the best books I've read on reincarnation and I started years ago with Edgar Cayce's books.  I was so impressed with the story, I've been telling everyone.  I'm captivated with the lapis.  For one who already believes in the theory of reincarnation, it only confirms what you already "know."  For those who doubl it, I can only quote the old saying, "When the student is ready.....The teacher appears."  A warm thank you to the author for sharing the journey and enabling this reader to enjoy the moments.

Terri, regarding your email on placing the lapis under a pillow:  To enhance dreaming, the lapis needs to be level with the thymus chakra (connection to your personal spirit guides) during the night.  So either wear the lapis as a necklace, or place on night table, or hang on bed lamp, etc.   For spiritual insight, must be a good stone, not a painted immitation ... AND one that you connect with.  I WEAR mine, consistently, either day OR night, but not both ... to much activity then; would eventually go crazy -- if not already.  Keep tape recorder or pad & pen by bed (which I'm sure you do already).  Your meanderings will be best just before the waking hour.  If it's daylight by then, use an eye cover (like you get to sleep on airplanes).  The moment you awaken, record/journal a description of your dreams along with any detail, no matter  how seemingly insignificant at the time.  Regardless of how clear the information is, you'll forget within a few minutes or hours.  The ones that escape more quickly are the best.  Your dream journals will eventually fit together like a puzzle.  Everything is fun.  Instincts and messages that come from recurring dreams are soul-rocking ... remember Emily in Dragonfly.  :) Carol
Surprised to find I'm only the 5th shiny soul to visit Chesapeake Moon's web site, considering the popularity of JENNIE'S REPRISAL.  I read it in a day, couldn't do anything else.  It's interesting that JENNIE has to be listed as fiction.  Carol Bennett should be on every reviewer's list nationwide.  When will her next book be published? ... I am an author touching a similar theme from a man's perspective, where forgiveness and justice are equally elusive qualities. ... I search Amazon and B&N often under 'reincarnation' and 'visionary fiction' because I need to know who's writing about it and who's publishing it.  In a market where agents and publishers are only attracted to proven authors, new authors with original work have to work hard for consideration. ... I found myself locked into Carol Bennett's novel early by her descriptions of Chesapeake Bay, probably because of my introduction to it through James Mitchener (a literary idol of mine).  For all his talent though, I wondered why Mitchener dropped his finely-wrought characters at their death.  In JENNIE'S REPRISAL, Carol accomplished what seems to be such a crying need for the growth of the profession, in telling the story of a soul rather than a single personality.  Bravo for taking us to Atlantis.  Some time from now, when many people can dream the way Carol Bennett does, Atlantis issues (resolved and unresolved) will be a common genre.  Thank you for publishing Carol Bennett.  August 28, 2002
Oh fellow author of the New Age, about your being only the fifth shiny soul to view ChesapeakeMoon.com:  My previous website has over 2,000 hits.  You aparently saw this new one the day it came online.  Yes indeed, "it's interesting that JENNIE has to be classified as fiction."  As discribed in Novelist ISO Publisher, JENNIE'S REPRISAL is my true story.  However, early on, a literary agent told me that publishers wouldn't touch reincarnation, thus the fiction--based on a true story classification.  Press Coverage has information on what I'm writing now.  Appreciate your encouraging review!  :)Carol  (Whops lost the counter again on January 23, 2003, after 4,000+ hits, starting again at 0.  Oh well, maybe someday I will be able to employ a webmaster.)

I am an avid reader and among my interests are metaphysical topics and occurrences.  Therefore, I have done extensive reading and attended many, many conferences that include this topic.  This is how I came to hear about, purchase and read Carol Bennett's extraordinary novel, JENNIE'S REPRISAL: A Soul's Evolution From Atlantis To Eternity.  To say the least, I found the novel captivating and finished the entire story in just a few sittings.  I find Carol Bennett to be exceptionally knowledgeable in the area of reincarnation and to read the book is to unknowingly take an introductory course in Metaphysics, just as my friend who referred the novel to me had proclaimed.  Carol Bennett has the rare gift of combining literary art and scholarship as evidenced in this novel.  She beautifully describes, throughout the story, human fragility and resilience, inducing the reader to take a compelling look at inscribing life's lessons into the heart and, perhaps, onto a soulful journey to eternity and even to perfection.

To hear Carol Bennett lecture about any one of her many extraordinary topics is extremely entertaining and provocative.  I have heard her speak several times; once to a standing-room-only audience in Ashtabula, Ohio.  Besides all of the attendants, the room was also filled to capacity with Carol Bennett's electrifying personality and enthusiasm!  Carol Bennett's history of distinguished achievement, especially at NASA where she broke through the male barrier into senior management, has convinced me that Carol's exceptional drive to bring her thought provoking novels into the throng of mainstream readers will be successful.  On a personal note, I find it very noble that, like the character Elizabeth in JENNIE'S REPRISAL, Carol Bennett strives to help young women in their endeavor to break the corporate glass ceiling.  She personally sponsors scholarships for this very purpose.  It has been a privilege to meet and know this outstanding woman.
