Well, it has been a great pleasure to be the varsity coach of the Rockford Rams the last four years but with the changing of the seasons and my responsibilities with the bowling program still ongoing in February and into March I only deem it fair to the golf program and the athletes that I step down as varsity coach. I have been thinking about this since fall. The golf team needs a coach now and we are in heart of our conference schedule in bowling and that is my first priority at present.
I want to thank the administration, Keith Vree, Harvey DeGood, Tim Erickson, Gail Harley and so many others -- my players, the parents, North Kent Golf
Course and my assistants Joe Kleefisch, Mitch Gathercole and Mike Smith for all their help in the past. I will still be around - just cannot fulfill the duties of a head coach as it should be done the way the seasons are at the present. Wish all of you God's blessing and get out there this year and defend that title!!!!
