I am originally from the East Coast and escaped in 1978. My first professional job was with Intel on Bowers and Central, also known as Santa Clara II. I was married in Santa Clara in 1980. My best man, John Bradley, later moved to Austin to work with AMD and the Bridesmaid later married and moved to West Virginia. So with our friends moving out and the Valley far to crowded and expensive already, we moved to Colorado on INMOS's bill in September 1980. Things have been mostly a blur since that time. When we got here we purchased our first house, got a dog, and had two children. I went back to college and finally graduated in 1992, 18 years after leaving high school. By the way, my wife is a graduate of the DeVry Technical Institute. Yea, that means that see is an electronic technician. But for now, see prefers the life of elementary school teachers aide, crossing guard, and luchroom aide. Unlike me, she works well with others. I was divorced in 2002 and now take care of my two children the best I can. The future is very unknown but I hope to travel more and continue enjoying life. After that I may move south around Albuquerque, New Mexico for a bit warmer climate. My grandmother, born in 1906, is 97 years of age this year and she is still going along alright. So if her longevity is any indication, I hope to enjoy something of retirement. Updated: April 3, 2003 |
