-The Rittenhouse Trombone Quartet- -Tour of Texas-

The RTQ's first tour was a complete success! We played for great audiences for the entire tour, and we couldn't have asked for it to have gone any better.
In other news, the RTQ has postponed its scheduled May 2001 tour due to scheduling problems. We are currently preparing a grant proposal. Provided we are awarded the grant, we have plans of going back to Texas next year at a time TBA. We hope to perform and present a class at TMEA Convention in San Antonio as well.
We are currently working on Eric Ewazen's new trombone quartet which we commissioned him to write. The title is "Myths and Legends." This is a GREAT piece, and we are having a wonderful time preparing the work. We are confident that this piece is going to become a staple in the trombone quartet repertiore. We will be premiering this work at Curtis on April 16, 2001 at 8PM. We hope to see some new faces that night!
