2008 SCHEDULE UPDATES (1/30/2008)...
We've made a couple of adjustments to our 2008 schedule.
The Northern Plains regional event at Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, SD has been moved to Thursday July 17th which will give the ASCS race teams a nice (3) day weekend joining the Friday July 18th show at Crawford County Speedway in Denison, IA and then Eagle Raceway on Saturday July 19th in Eagle, NE.
We have tentatively filled in the Friday July 11th with an ASCS Midwest show at US36 Raceway in Cameron, MO.

First Time Visits For ASCS Race Teams...
Included in the 2008 schedule are a few first time stops for the ASCS race teams.
Red River Valley Speedway in Fargo, ND. will host the Northern Plains at their annual fair on Thursday June 19th.
Minneapolis Raceway in Minneapolis, KS will be another new venture for the ASCS gang on Saturday September 6th.
We welcome aboard these new destinations for our ASCS race teams.
We also want to say THANK YOU to the race tracks that have once again showed us their loyalty by asking us to return to their tracks for another season of ASCS excitement.

Changes...
There’s a change in the engine rules for the upcoming 2008 ASCS season.
Teams competing with either a Ford or a Mopar engine, will have to utilize the ASCS Spec cylinder head. No open heads allowed on Ford or Mopar engines. The rules for the Chevrolet engines remain the same as in 2007...
No Changes...
ASCS wing rules haven’t changed. Teams may continue to use a top wing with a maximum dip of (2.5) inches or a flat wing with a (1) inch wickerbill. Check the ASCS rule book at www.ascsracing.com for the complete rules…
No Dashes...
ASCS will not utilize a dash to determine the starting grid for the A feature events in 2008. Instead, drivers will again be awarded finishing points and passing points for their heat races and the top (8) in points will simply redraw (1) thru (8) for the A feature starting positions…
