*Magickal Inks*
BAT'S BLOOD INK
2 parts dragon's blood resin
1/2 part myrrh resin
2 drops cinnamon oil
2 drops indigo color
12 parts alcohol
1/2 part gum arabic
DOVE'S BLOOD INK
1 part dragon's blood resin
2 drops cinnamon oil
2 drops bay oil
10 parts alcohol
1 part gum arabic
2 drops rose oil
 DRAGON'S BLOOD INK
1 part dragon's blood resin
15 parts alcohol
1 part gum arabic
Fragrant Dragon's Blood Ink
Dragon's Blood resin (powdered if possible)
colorless alcohol
tightly sealable jar
one cinnamon stick (chipped)
or 15 cloves
or one vanilla bean (chipped)
or 9 coffee beans (crushed).

Pour the resin and spices into the jar. Pour in just enough
wine/vodka/? to cover the resin/spices mixture plus 10% more. Seal the jar.
The resin will leach it's color into the alcohol, faster if it is a powder than if it is resin chunks. The spices will leach their scent into the ink at the same time.
When you think it is dark enough, dip a sterile toothpick into the liquid, and test on the paper you intend to use it with. Let dry: is it indeed dark enough, or does it need more steeping? Continue steeping and testing.
When it is done, strain to remove the resin and spices. Return the liquid to the bottle, use for writing. Be advised that this is not a sun- fast ink, so it should not be used for things that will spend a great deal of time in the direct sunlight.
Venus Green Ink

Check with an art supply store near you and buy a good opaque green drawing ink.  Then file a pinch of copper from a pre-1980 penny into the bottle, or add a short piece of copper wire.
GLOW-IN-THE-DARK INK
1 oz. oil of cinnamon
1/4 oz. phosphorous

1) Pour into a small bottle
2) Close the bottle tightly and place in a hot water bath.
3) Heat until the ingredients have melted together.
LAVENDER INK

A new take on the lavender scented paper which is thought to make the receiver think well of you.

Items Needed:
1/2 oz (15g) dried lavender flowers
6 tbsp water
1 small bottle ink (can use Dragons Or Doves Blood ink)

Crush the lavender and put into a saucepan with the water. Bring them to the boil and simmer for about 30 minutes or until you have 2 tablespoons brown, opaque liquid left. Strain, pressing down well. Mix the liquid with the ink.
Dissappearing Ink
1 Tablet Of Any Commercial Laxative
1 Tavlespoon Rubbing Alcohol
Cotton Balls
Household Ammonia

1) Mash the laxative tablet into the tablespoon of alcohol.
2) Be sure the tablet is entirely dissolved.
To use: Write a message on the paper with paintbrush dipped into the solution. As the solution dries, the writing will disappear. To develop the message: dampen the cotton ball with liquid ammonia and dab it on the page. The writing will reappear.
PERFUMED INKS
Perfumed inks can be used whenever you want to intensify a spell. If burning a candle, write out your objective on a small piece of paper and place it under the burning candle. If doing a spell that calls for burning the paper, this ink will strengthen what you are writing. Perfumed inks are also great for writing notes and letters to your loved ones. The making of perfumed ink is very easy. Simply purchase a bottle of ink, either black or colored, and add 2 or 3 drops of the appropriate essential oil to the bottle. Let the bottle of ink sit on your altar overnight. This is best done on the Full Moon for positively-charged inks, on the Dark Moon for negatively-charged inks.
 FRAGRANT DRAGON'S BLOOD INK
Dragon's Blood resin (powered if possible)
--colorless alcohol (vodka works well)
--tightly sealable jar
--1 cinnamon stick (chipped) or 15 clovers or 1 vanilla bean (chipped or crushed)
--9 coffee beans
Pour the resin and spices into jar. Pour in just enough vodka to cover the resin/spices
mixture plus 10% more. Seal the jar. The resin will reach it's color into the alcohol,
faster if it is a powder than if it is resin chunks. The spices well leach their scent into
the ink at the same time. When you think it is dark enough, dip a sterile toothpick into
the liquid, and test on the paper you intend to use it on. Let dry: if it is dark enough or
does it need more steeping? Continue testing.
When it is done, strain to remove the resin and spices. Put in bottle, use for writing.
It should not be used for things that will spend time in the sun.
NOTES ON INKS
1) If ink has a tendency to bleed or run when applied to paper, try adding more gum Arabic to the ink.
2) To prevent ink from molding, add a few bruised cloves, or a little oil of cloves.
An old practice, no longer recommended, was to add a few drops of creosote to prohibit the formation of mold.
Creosote is now considered to be a hazardous substance.
