~Candle Magick~
Candle magick can be fun and it's easy to do. Here is a list of how to interpret the candle flame. Try it during your next ritual.
A Strong Flame: this indicates that power and energy are going into your desire for manifestation. When a figure candle is used, a strong flame generally means that the person represented is winning or angry or using authority over another. When two figure candles are present, the higher and stronger flame represents authority over the other.
A Weak Flame: this can show that you are facing heavy opposition and must redo the magick several times in order to overcome the power you are facing. The weak flame can also indicate, on a figure candle, that the subject is losing the battle. The weak flame that goes out means that you've missed your target altogether, start over.
A Jumping Flame: This is an attention getter. It can indicate raw emotions along with explosions of energy.
Direction of flame movement:
NORTH: On a waxing moon, something physical is manifesting.
EAST: something mental is manifesting.
SOUTH: in love matters, you can expect a steamy love affair that doesn't last too long.
WEST: emotional aspects. A good sign of success and love.
Charging the Candle
"I give you life, I give you power
To serve my purpose, to serve my will.
As your flame grows stronger,
So will your desire to serve my purpose,
To serve my will.
I give you life, this day of____.
I give you life, this hour of ____.
To serve my purpose, to serve my will.
As I will it, so mote it be."
Candle Spell
The candle itself, unlit, represents Earth. When touched with Fire, the candle melts, producing wax (representing WATER), and smokes (AIR).
You will need a new candle, the color of your choice. Choose something that corresponds with the type of spell you wish to perform. Consecrate the candle and carve a pentagram on it. Say:
"Upon this candle I will write
What I receive of thee this night,
Grant me what I wish you to do;
I dedicate this rite to you.
I trust that you will grant this boon,
O lovely Goddess of the Moon."
This type of candle spell works well with any ritual. Simply, charge the candle with the energy raised to do your wish.
Healing Fire Candle Spell
Items Needed:
Three Purple Candles
Three Blue Candles
Photograph of yourself
Place the candles in a circle around the photograph. Charge each candle individually:
"I charge you by the powers of fire
East, South, West, and North;
I charge you by the powers of
The Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
I charge you by the powers of
The Sun, the Moon, and the Stars:
To heal me of this disease (or ailment)
Its causes and its manifestations.
So mote it be!"
Now, after you light each candle, say:
"Burn the sickness in your flame
Burn the sickness that would maim.
Burn the illness by your might
Burn the illness in your light.
Heal me of illness and pain
Heal me of all that is bane.
Heal me and set me free
With my will so must it be!"
Do this spell as many nights in a row that you need to.
