Who Are We ?

The Delaware County Mustangs (AKA: DELCO MUSTANGS) are a not-for profit Semi-Pro / Minor League adult football team. The team consists of former college football players, interested in extending their careers and possibly making it to the professional football level. We are dedicated to bringing the philosophy clean living, strong family values and good sportsmanship, as well providing the Delco area with high quality sports entertainment. Our games are played at local venues such as High School stadiums and Municipal parks. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and Children under 6 are FREE. We also have many "special event" days such as "Fan Appeciation Day, "Family Day", "Blue and White Day" and "Little League Day".

Our History:

The Delco Mustangs have been together, as a cohesive unit, since 1992. In that time, we have won 2 LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS and 4 DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIPS. In our 7 seasons we have played and BEATEN teams from as far away as VIRGINIA and CONNECTICUT. In 1992 the DELCO MUSTANGS started out as an idea. That idea grew out of a passion for community and the realization of the lack of community activities for young men in the area. Jay and Theresa Tucker were the two idealists who formed the MUSTANGS and kept them going through all the adversities which are faced by all new organizations. In 1992 as a rookie team the MEDIA MUSTANGS joined and helped form the "DELAWARE VALLEY ANTI-DRUG FOOTBALL LEAGUE. After winning LEAGUE Championships in our first two years, we decided to broaden our horizons. In 1997 the DELCO MUSTANGS joined the GARDEN STATE FOOTBALL LEAGUE and have since participated in post season play for 3 consecutive years including one League Championship.

Our Future:

The DELCO MUSTANGS will continue to challenge themselves by competing against quality competion throughout the region. We are continually searching for new local talent to join us in gridiron battle. We will continue to present a positive image in our community, participating in charity and fund raising events, as well as community youth events. Our goals for the future are (1) to acquire a lighted home field, in our area, which will enable us to play our games on Saturday nights, thereby allowing more of our fans to attend our games. (2) To continue our winning ways by bringing a League Championship and National Championship to Delaware County, and (3) to play a larger part in the growth and improvement of our neighborhoods and communities
