It's amazing how just a thin layer of moisture, in this case fog, can ruin a decent night sky. Guess I must rely on using Photoshop to clean these shots up.
Below the belt of Orion is the awesome M42 taken early morning of September 24th. The early morning fog is orange thanks to Foxwoods Resort and Casino only 4 miles away. But even more than M42 is present in this single 3 minute ISO 800 fl 125mm shot. At left center of the image, some space debris glides through my FOV (in the six other shots too) just below the Flame Nebula.

Another foggy shot of Orion that I expect to replace in the near future. Taken with the Canon Digital Rebel, my settings were ISO 800 for 54 seconds using the 28-135mm IS camera lens set to f3.5 fl 28mm mounted on top of the Losmandy G11.
