Meet the Team!

DRIVER: Robert Donovan

Robert has been racing for about 8 years. He started racing on the small dirt ovals of Oklahoma in a Mini Stock. He then moved to up to Factory Stocks, and finally to Midgets. In 1998 Robert gained his NHRA competition license and began driving the Donovan Racing "Rolling Stone" dragster. He now pilots the Donovan & Thomason Jr Fuel car.

CREW CHIEF: David Thomason

David got his start in racing at an early age. He helped his father race a front engine dragster when he was a child. Dave has been the Crew Chief for the Donovan& Thomason team since its first efforts in circle track dirt cars, and is now doing the tuning on the Donovan & Thomason front engine dragster.

CREW MEMBER: Steve Bagwell

Steve came to the team in 2002. He has proved to be a valuable member of the team diving in, and wiping the tires down like a pro. Steve has not missed a race since coming on board and it would be hard to replace him. (Especially when he figures out there aren't nine cylinders on a V-8 Chevy.)

Crew Member: Geoffrey Thomason

Geoffrey Thomason has also been with the team from the dirt car ( or mud cars as he calls them) days. His first official duties included getting dirty and pointing out when the driver made a mistake. Now that he has reached the ripe old age of  14,  his duties have expanded. Geoffrey is the official helper. He adds fuel, helps with the chute, adds oil, and  points out when any of the crew make a mistake.

Crew Menmber: Les Milner

Although Les Milner lives in Illinois, he manages to make most of the races. Les has been on the crew since the first year  the team began racing in Jr Fuel. With an Engineering background Les is a very helpful part of the team. He handles most of the technical aspects of the team such as driving the tow truck, checking tire pressures, and running the video camera.

Other Crew Members:  Alan Donovan, Lisa Donovan, Kathy Nichols and Gary Brunken
