Watercolors by Dyan~
Hello and welcome! I live in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area and have for sometime now. It's nice to drive around and see so many "Rainbow" flags flying!
I love the ocean, and all that it encompasses, both above and beneath. So, for me watercolor painting seemed to come naturally, it's fluid and moves, is ever changing. Hence, a great portion of my subject matter surrounds those things of the sea...those things fluid and changing. As life itself.
I have been painting over 6 years now, and have shown and offered my artwork in local galleries, exhibits and shows.
I find painting to be so relaxing and peaceful..... like a form of meditation.

This first image above is one of the first paintings I created using the pride colors of the "Rainbow Flag".
This painting was chosen for the 2004 South Florida Pride Festival Guide cover! I was truly honored!
"I often incorporate the "Pride" colors of the" Rainbow" flag into everyday scenes and settings."
"I think that being open and true about who I am in all aspects of my life can be healing for all. The use of the "Pride" colors in my work, helps to convey this philosophy."
Below are a few paintings from my "Ocean Reef Fish" series, and a few other paintings. Some of these beautiful fish swim in the warm waters right off the Florida coast, an amazing sight, that I had the privilage of seeing on scuba diving trips. Dyan~
