SUMMER READING PROGRAM
SUMMER READING PROGRAM


The Summer Reading Program at the Eau Claire District Library will begin on June16th  and end on Aug 5th .  The program is open to all children in Berrien and Pipestone Townships, which includes the Village of Eau Claire.  Our "Read-to-Me" program is for children not yet able to read on their own.  We have a teen program and an adult program.  Everyone living in our district is invited to join, along with any interested person in possession of a Michicard.  
Please sign up at the Library (461-6241).  The deadline to join is July 19th .

All of the following events are scheduled on Thursday at 2:00 PM, unless otherwise noted!

June 19th--Decorate the Library  Bugs will invade the Library as we decorate for our summer of reading fun.

June 26th--Love Creek  Pat Underwood will present a program about insects.

July 3rd--Sidewalk chalk draw  Everyone will be able to draw on the sidewalk.

July 10th--John Dudley  One of Michigan's busiest magicians brings his fun comedy magic show to the Library.  You'll laugh at the silliness & be inspired to "Catch the reading bug".  A free bug fun facts sheet will be given to all in attendance.

July 17th--Bug box  Make and decorate a bug box.

July 24th--Sand art  Create a bug work of art with colored sand.

July 31st--Jim Baerwald  Mr. Baerwald is an apiarist!!  Come and find out more about what that means.  Bee sure to attend this interesting program!

Aug 5th--Deadline to log your books   Make sure that you have written down your books and picked up your prizes by this date.  It is the last day to do both.

August 7th-- Party  Please RSVP by August 2, if you plan to attend.  (461-6241)
Remember!! The last day to log your books is Tuesday, August 5th.
