MACARONI AND CHEESE

2 cups of cooked elbow macaroni
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of dry mustard
Dash of pepper
1 cup of milk
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded sharp cheese


Prepare macaroni and set aside. Melt butter in a two quart glass casserole in microwave oven about 1 minute on high. Add flour,pepper,mix well.  Add  milk gradually, stirring constantly. Cook uncovered 6 minutes on high stir every 2 minutes.

Add cheese to sauce; stir. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 1 minute on high.

Add cooked macaroni to cheese sauce,mix. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 4 minutes on high; stir halfway through cooking period.        6 servings
