APPETIZERS PAGE ONE
_________________________Spiced Nuts and Raisins______________________

2  tablespoons of butter or margarine
2 tablespoons of confectioner's sugar
1/2 teaspoon onion or garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
4 cups of mixed nuts (1lb.)
1 cup raisins

Melt the butter in a 1 cup glass measuring cup in the microwave (about 30 seconds on high). Add sugar, onion powder, red pepper and ginger.

Put nuts into 1 quart casserole. Pour mixture over nuts and mix well.  Cook uncovered in microwave oven 6 yo 7 minutes at high, or until hot; stir once.  Cool, stirring frequently. Stir in raisins until well mixed.

SPICED TOASTY NUTS

2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon of garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon of curry powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 cups pf mixed nuts

Melt butter in a 1 cup glass measuring cup in the microwave (about 30 seconds on high). Add sugar, garlic salt,curry powder and cinnamon. stir well

Put nuts into a 1 quart casserole. Pour butter mixture over nuts and mix well.  Cook uncovered in microwave oven 6 to 7 minutes at high, or until hot, stir once.  Cool stirring frequently.

MEXICAN CHICKEN DRUMMETTES

2 1/2 to 3 pounds of chicken drumettes
1 package of taco seasoning
1 8-ounce can of tomato sauce
2 tablespoons of chopped onions
1 tablespoon of chopped green chilies

Place chicken drumettes in a plastic bag.  Add taco sseasoning mix and shake to
coat well.

arrange half of chicken drumettes on a microwave oven safe platter in spoke fashion with the meaty portion to the outside of the platter.  Cook uncovered in microwave oven 9 minutes at High; turn over once. Repeat with the remainder ofthe drumettes.

Combine tomato sauce, onion and green chilies. Serve with drumettes.

NACHOS

1 package of round tortilla chips (8 ounce)
1/4 cup of finely chopped onions
1 can of chopped chilies, drained (4 ounces)
1 can of pitted ripe olives drained and sliced (3 1/4 ounces)
1 jar of pimiento-stuffed gren olives, drained and sliced
2 cups of shredded chedder cheese (8 ounces)

Arrange one-third of tortilla chips on a microwave-oven-safe glass platter. Sprinkle with one-third of chopped onion, one-third of chopped green chilies, one-third of ripe and green olives and about one-third of the cheese.

Cook uncovered in microwave oven 1 1/2 minutes at High, or untin cheese is melted. Repeat with the reamining chips, onion, chilies,olives and cheese.
