Naples Junior Women's Club
570 Park Street, Naples

GFWC Naples Junior Women's Club is a service club of women who have joined together to enrich both their own lives and the community in which they live.  Meetings are the 2nd Wednesday each month at 6:30.

Over the last 50 years, Juniors have built a children's playground, helped establish a home for pregnant women in need, and contributed time, money, and talent to libraries, schools, hospitals, local theatre groups and many others.

Former club members have gone on to leadership positions in business and in the community.  Curent members include business owners, nurses, attorneys, stay-home mothers, writes, office managers, and many others.  The common bond is a desire to improve their community and their world.

Volunteers Make the Difference

Past and present NJWC Community Improvement Projects (CIP) include:

Neighborhood Health Clinic - was our 2001-2003 CIP.  We helped this health clinic for low income working adults throughout the two-year period.  Members sold pavers to help raise funds.  Also, members brought the volunteering medical workers meals while they were seeing patients.

Hospice - was our CIP project for 1999-2000.  NJWC members have created a library of books designed to help Hospice patients and family members.  And on each holiday during the year, members make small gifts for the approzimately 160 hospice patients in Collier County.  They have enjoyed Easter baskets, Valentine's cards, St. Patrick's Day carnations, Mother's and Father's Day gifts and more.

Shelter for Abused Women - This was our 1998-1999 CIP.  Club members have painted the shelters new office, donated gift baskets of needed items each month, raised money through fundraisers, and assisted the shelter with various projects.

Collier County Libraries - was our 1996-1997 CIP.  A rummage sale was held in 1996 to raise funds to buy items on the library's wish list.  Each year books are donated in the name of club members new babies.

Sunlight Home - for pregnant women in need was our 1994-1995 CIP.  Naples Junior Women's Club helped found the home including furnishing and decorating rooms, planting trees, helping with lawn care, establishing a library within the home, and donating maternity clothing, food, money, baby clothing and baby care supplies and equipment.
