Here is a bit about how we started!

Farmil Kennels began in 1973. Like so many other people we purchased a family "pet" and fell in love with this wonderful breed.
We believe in the total dog…sound in both mind and body and capable of doing all that the German Shepherd was bred to do. We have bred several select champions, two police dogs, two hearing ear dogs and many companions. We breed only one or two litters a year and all our dogs are family members first and show dogs second. Our litters are raised with the help of our young grandchildren in our home in Roxbury, Connecticut.
