My name is Gina. I am a natural born crafter. In my school age years, with fingernail polish and thumb tacks I made my own earings. Yes I know now, that was not a sanitary way of making jewelry. My mother and both grandmothers have/had the crafting bug. In my mind I have always been a serious crafter. After high school I dabbled in ceramic classes, crochet, ribbon embroidery, and cross stitch. Cross stitch then drew me to the world of beads. Wow I sure love this world of beads!! I am known to bring my bead graph paper into eating establishments (with long lines) to doodle beading patterns.
In 1991, I was diagnosed with MS. (Multiple Sclerosis) I worked in ER of hospital till 1992. With seizures and blindness I fought to get my disablity. Luckily my husband was aware of my MS before we married and knew what he was in for. Come Christmas with no money for gifts with only his income, my DESIRE for crafting blossomed to full time crafter for gifts. Most of my pics are past xmas presents. My dear husband of 14 yrs allows me to craft at will, tripping over yarn, baskets, carts of beads, etc.
In 95, along came my daughter. Then I dabbled in plastic canvas, barbie has to have a couch!!! My daughter loves to be there with me planning out our next attempt at something new. From beads I found Polymer clay. Oh my, polymer clay is my favorite medium of all.
My daughter is very good at clay. My husband loves to contribute to our crafts with turkey feathers/spurs etc. He says he doesn't mind pushing me around the flea market (for craft goodies of course) in my wheel chair. He says he wishes he was a bead so I would play with him. But he learned a crafting Gina is a happy Gina.
