INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Trace an outline of the body onto the wood and use the saw to cut it out.

  2. Sand the body to remove the saw marks and round the edges.

  3. Use a 17/64 inch drill bit (or 9/32 in.) to drill the two axle holes. They are located 3/4 in. in from the front of the car, 5/8 in. in from the back of the car, and 1/4 in. up from the bottom.

  4. Cut the axles to length.

  5. Assemble the axles in the axles holes and glue on the wheels.

  6. When the glue has dried, ensure all wheels still turn freely and can not be pulled off the body. Check for rough spots and sand if necessary.

  7. Apply mineral oil to the wood and let it absorb overnight. Mineral oil is used because it is an eatable oil so there is no harm if a child puts the toy in its mouth. It is available in drug stores.
