The Baltimore "Uplifting Minds II" entertainment conference starts with a day of seminars and ends the next day with a day devoted to showcasing talent in music/vocals (all genres), dance and song writing. A line-up of industry judges give advice and judge their performances.
SEMINAR TOPICS include "entertainment law tips" by Paul Gardner II, Esq. (The Gardner Law Group); "wealth building" by financial expert Xavier Thomas (Madison Funding); "finding gigs on line" by model/actress/author Kerri Hobbs (Pepsi/Paul Mitchell Products); "Internet, the new Era" by Henry Harris president of Gospel Internet Radio station www.SpiritCo1.com ; "starting your own business" by Munir Bahar/New Business Services, LLC, and "promotions/marketing & public relation strategies" by Eunice Moseley promotions director of The Baltimore Times, coordinator of the "Uplifting Minds II" Conference, and President of Freelance Associates, a promotions and PR consulting firm.
JUDGES for the August, 2008 competition was artist manager Burt Wheeler , model/actress Kerri Moseley-Hobbs (Pepsi, Paul Mitchell products); artist manager and booking agent Norman Gibson (Gray Starr Entertainment), concert promoter Anthony Jeter (Jeter Productions); Internet radio owner Henry Harris (www.SpiritCo1.com), and indie label vice president Leon Tillman (The Mallia Music Group)h .
