The "Football Raider" games came almost by accident. I had programmed a game called
Bomber which was a very old game idea from way back in the days of the
Vic 20 and Spectrum. I expanded on the original idea and made an addictive, quite playable,
(so I'm told) arcade game of 25 levels. One of my work mates then suggested that I convert Bomber
and give it a football theme. I did this by replacing the helicopter with a "heli ram" and
replacing the buildings with Nottingham Forest logos hence came the first football raider game
RAMMY RAIDER closely followed by FOREST FRENZY, RED RAIDER, LIVERPOOL RAIDER,
TOFFEE RAIDER, CITY RAIDER, FOXY FRENZY
SUNDERLAND SLAMMER, NEWCASTLE RAIDER, CHELSEA RAIDER,
WOLVES RAIDER, BAGGIE BLASTER,
HAMMER SLAMMER, VILLA RAIDER, BRUMMIE RAIDER
All the games are the same but using different graphics.
