Global Focus Films (GFF) lifts the voices of the world's most vulnerable citizens, those facing extremely dire circumstances, and brings them to a broad range of audiences. GFF documents community-based responses of impoverished, displaced, abandoned, orphaned and/or HIV-affected children and families through digital video, photo journalism, and web technology.
Finished works highlight these responses for the use of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), communities facing similar issues, policy makers, and to educate a broader audience. Our small, but experienced staff and board, coupled with rapidly evolving technologies, allows us to do this work quickly and affordably. For most projects we spend an average of one to two weeks on location. Completed videos and web pages are made public within 45 days.

We Go Directly To The Heart
of Social Issues Globally

By traveling to the heart of the communities we document, and by working directly with frontline leaders, activists, experts, and families, GFF develops a distinct collaborative effort that encompasses key elements of an impacted area. We work to maintain a presence that supersedes "neutrality," creating an unconstrained avenue for a given community's truth and vision to be conveyed.

By incorporating a broad spectrum of media (community web page development and consultation, video and audio streaming, printed materials, presentation platforms, digital slide shows and documentary shorts on VHS and CD-ROM) we directly strengthen communities and organizations served. We share this information in communities rife with illiteracy, violence and hunger. We operate in a manner that least threatens the stability and safety of community leaders and local advocates.

We make internationally visible
community stories in a manner that:
-serves as a model to similarly-situated communities
-contributes to a greater understanding of the breadth and depth of our global village
-promotes the exchange of knowledge and experience, solutions and practices
-honors the responsibility we each hold for the welfare of our brethren, and initiates a small step toward justice, equality and peace.
