The Powder Springs Explorer Post 145's Bike Patrol Unit is under the command of Sergeant C. Sanger. This unit patrols the Silver Comet Trail throughout the City of Powder Springs. The Bike Unit does zone patrols at all of the trail heads along the trail. In addition, patroling officers assist persons frequenting the trail with mechanical problems, and, occasionaly, they are called upon to render medical aid to an injured person. The Explorer Bike Unit also focuses on community interactment with children by handing out stickers, etc. In adition, Explorer Officers use bikes to stay moble durring city events. Officers on the Bike Patrol Unit include:
