The Pate Charolais Ranch

Pate Ranch was started in 1956 with Angus, Hereford and Shorthorn cattle. With a desire to improve our weaning weights we started using Charolais bulls in 1968. The results were so dramatic that Pate Ranch started raising, purebred Charolais.
In 1980 Deacon John 530K gained 4 pounds a day for a record on grass.
In 1990 King Grazer gained 4.50 pounds a day on grass.
A King Grazers son gained 4.84 pounds a day on grass.
Pate Charolais Ranch have won many performance tests and have continued to select herd size to accomplish our goals.
