It has been a great year as our cattle continue to perform in a superior mannor. With the addition of Rio Blanco we have entered a new demintion. Many of the females in sale will go on to be doner cows and many of the young bulls herd sues.
In 1960 we had an interest in improving our weaning weights and started using Charolais Bulls on our commercial cows. The results were so dramatic we started raising Charolais Cattle. Realizing that growth and fead efficiency play a key role in determining the profitablity of an animal has been our focus. Our commercial bull customers say Pate Charolais Bulls add 75 pounds and bring the same price.
In the process we developed King Grazers, Serious Buisness and purchesed Duke 135 to accomplish our goals. They have over the years been weaning, yearling, milk and multiple trait leaders. Rio Blanco was later added to our breading program to continue in a positive direction. We were able to accomplish our growth goals and maintain low birth weights, milk and carcus quality.
