History:
- 1919: Holley Rod and Gun Club was founded and trap
shooting began at Garrand's Quarry, in the village of Holley.
- 1923: The club purchased its present site, at 4189
Pumping Station Road, across from the Farnsworth Quarry. The deed for the land was from
the estate of William H. Farrand, to the trustees of the Holley Rod and Gun Club. One of
the prime developers of the club was Dr. Charles E. Padelford, who became the club's first
president.
- 1941 to 1951: Jasper Robinson, club president for ten
years, paid the taxes on the club property for this ten year period. Thanks to generosity,
the club still remains at it's present site.
- 1953: The original red wooden clubhouse was replaced
by a cement building.
- 1954: The club was incorporated.
- 1973 to 1975: Floodlights were installed and night
time shooting began. Additional land was purchased from the village and a second range was
constructed. The clubhouse was enlarged to accommodate a kitchen, lounge area, meeting room
