Homeland Children's Foundation is a tax-exempt, not- for- profit publicly supported charity qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation offers education and aid to children living in China's orphanages and through Homeland Adoption Services, offers permanent, loving homes to children with qualified U.S. citizens.
HCF was founded in 2000 by a volunteer group of Chinese citizens and U.S. adoptive parents working together to provide opportunities for children who will remain in orphanages throughout their childhood years.
Orphanage projects have included the installation of incubators, heaters and air conditioning units, renovation of baby and toddler rooms, replacement of lead painted cribs with medical quality stainless steel, and donations of beds and mattresses for school age children. Aid packs are distributed to orphanages all over China which contain new clothing, blankets, medical and dental supplies.
HCF's work is focused primarily on the needs of older children and teens. Although these children are often the neediest, they are often the last to receive aid. Many have handicaps and most have had only sporadic education. We believe that each child has talents and the potential for an improved outcome. From that point of view, in 2003 we began a pilot education/socialization program involving 56 teens in Jiangsu and Anhui Provinces. Find out more.....

Gao Ting's art was published on greeting cards in the U.S. in 2003. Ting only has the use of one hand, but since she began painting in Homeland art classes in her orphanage, she has won prizes in local art shows. She hopes to be able to attend art school in Suzhou when she graduates from high school. Her friends in the orphanage were delighted to share her good news.
