About Me
Welcome, my name is Jacinda Nicole Dawson-Ramirez. I am from Biloxi, Ms and I am on a mad hunt for my family roots. I currently live in Killeen, Tx with my husband Freddy and two children Kenneth and Latasha. I have been stationed here since 1997 with the U. S. Army. Since we move so much it is hard for my children to establish roots so any help to create a family tree for them to have and share with their children would be great!

What I Do Know
I am trying to research both my maternal and paternal heritage so bear with me.
My mother is Myrtle M. Dawson born 10 April,1953 in Vancleave, Ms. She has three children. Myself, Ardell Dawson-Foster born Feburary 16,1974 and Edward Frank Courtney Dawson born November 17, 1976 all in Biloxi. Ardell has two daughters, Ayonna born October 31, 1991 and Jasmine born July 25, 1993.
My mother's father is Lonnie Dawson. He was born 2 Sep 36 in either Harrison or Jackson counties Mississippi. He died 1 May 1996 in Gulfport, Ms. Not much else is known about him except that his immediate ancestors were probably slaves. Where we do not know.
My mother's mother's name is Ardell Dawson-Gaddis. Both are married names. Her true maiden name is unknown. She was also married to a man named Samuel Savage III from Chicago who was in the Army and and one point was stationed in El Paso, TX at Ft Bliss. She was born 31 Oct 36 in Vancleave, MS. This year is not for sure. She died in April of 1973. Her mother's name was Lille Mae Joseph(married name). Lillie Mae's maiden name is unknown. Ardell's father was Cline Jackson. Cline was a Blackfoot Indian. He had two brothers Hemp and Hardy Jackson and aat least one sister named Agnes who married a Andrew Thompson.

Help I'm Stuck!!!!!!
My search of Social Security Death records have turned up other familiar names from the area but I cannot make a link yet. Spencer Hanshaw of Ocean Springs, 9 Jul 1898-May 1971. I do know that my grandpa Herman has a first cousin Spencer Hanshaw living in Biloxi. I assume that this Spencer is the son of the afore mentioned and would make him my grandfathers' uncle. Also, Beauregard Hanshaw, 24 Jul 1896-Oct 1983 of Moss Point. Werthel Hanshaw, born 18 Aug 1884 and Mamie Hanshaw 24 June 1909-May 1976 Of Ocean Springs. I am not sure of how these names fit.If any of this sounds like someone you know or information that you have ran across on your knowledge journey please share. Also if you know of web sites that can help the search send some my way.
