Homework is usually given three to four nights a week. Students are expected to spend approximately 30 minutes a night on homework. Assignments are written on a homework assignment sheet that is placed in the front of the student's binder. It would be beneficial to your child if you review assignments that have been done and be sure they are placed in the homework folder (in the binder also) and packed in the backpack for the next day. This will help your student to develop good organizational skills that will aid him/her in the learning process.
Assignments are as follows:
* students are expected to read at least 15-30 minutes each night
* practice math fact assigned
* short term assignments due the following morning
* study and prepartation for a written test
* long term projects
If a homework assignment is missed, a "Missed Homework" slip will be issued. A parent must sign the slip to acknowledge the missed homework and the assignment is due the following day.
