Social Studies

The third grade social study will increase student’s understanding about community life in a variety of contexts. Throughout each unit third graders will compare aspects of life in our own community (characteristics of Wethersfield) with those of other communities around the world. Students will explore history, geography, economics, culture, and government through reading writing, mathematics, technology and the sciences. Third graders will gain understandings about citizenship through a variety of activities. Wethersfield is rich with history that the third grade curriculum is proud to include.
