ELIGIBILITY: Everyone is welcome to participate in the walk. Adult supervision is required for all children. Club membership is not required.

DATE: Saturday June 14, 2008

START TIME:

Self Guided Walkers: Start any time between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Must finish by 5 p.m.

Group walkers: For walkers wanting to walk with someone, Group walks will leave at 10 am and 1 pm

DISTANCE: 10 Km (6.2 miles), or 5 Km (3.1 miles) AVA Trail Rating: 1 (Scale of 1=easy to 5=dificult)

START/FINISH: Kutztown University- Keystone Hall

South Campus Drive and Baldy Street

Parking Lot E-1, Kutztown, PA

REGISTRATION/FEES: AVA Credit = $3.00.

This event is Free for those walkers who wish to participate without receiving AVA credit.

Record Books: Participants in the IVV/AVA incentive program are reminded to bring their IVV record books. Additional books will be available for purchase at $5.00 each. New Walker Starter Kits with 2 books are available for $5.00

FACILITIES: Free parking and Rest Rooms available at Start Point.

SANCTIONED BY: This event is sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association (AVA), a member of the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV).

CONDITIONS: This event will be held regardless of weather conditions. No littering. Pets permitted but must be leashed.

TRAIL: The trail has no significant hills. The trail will follow sidewalks through the campus of Kutztown University to the German-American Heritage museum , then through the town of Kutztown.

FOOD: Water and hard candy will be available at the Start Finish and at the Checkpoint.

Philadelphia and South: Take PA Turnpike NE extension to Exit 56 (Lehigh Valley). Take Route I-78 West to Exit 40. Then Route 737 South to Main Street in Kutztown. Right on Main Street to traffic light at College Blvd/Normal Ave. Left on Normal Ave. ***At Baldy St.turn Right to South Campus Drive. Park in lot E-1. Start Point is in Keystone Hall (front of building has large sign: Home of Golden Bears and Keystone Hall.

New Jersey and East: Take Route I-78 West to Exit 40. Then Route 737 South to Main Street in Kutztown. Right on Main Street to traffic light at College Blvd/Normal. Left on Normal Ave. Then follow directions *** above.

York, Lancaster and South: Route 30 to Route 222 North towards Reading. Follow Route 222 to Business 222- Kutztown Road (Main Street) exit. Take Main Street to traffic light at College Blvd/Normal Ave. Right on Normal Ave. Then follow directions *** above.

Hershey and West: Take PA Turnpike to Exit 286. Take Route 222 North towards Reading. Follow Route 222 to Business 222- Kutztown Road (Main Street) exit. Take Main Street to traffic light at College Blvd/Normal Ave. Right on Normal Ave. Then follow directions *** above
