Invite you to a
10 K Year Round Walk

New Hope, PA
(Bucks County)

Trail Rating = 1 ½

YR- 0532
Trail:. The trail starts just outside New Hope in a shopping center parking lot.  You will pass the end station of a working steam locomotive sightseeing train (the New Hope & Ivyland R.R.). Then walk along the tow path of the Delaware Canal and pass many Victorian style homes.  You will cross the Delaware River and follow another tow path on the New Jersey side of the river.  You will pass the River Horse micro-brewery and more quaint homes.  After crossing a canal lock, you will re-cross the river and stroll along the main artistic street in New Hope, go past the barge masters house and walk through an up-scale residential street to the finish point.  Much of the trail is on paved sidewalks, while the tow paths are dirt covered.  Due to uneven towpaths and several steps, wheelchairs are not recommended.  Large wheel strollers are OK.  Note; some of the attractions are not open during the winter.
