YR-0482 West Walk- Historic/Cultural . This walk will take you past the grave of Benjamin Franklin, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, City Hall, various museums and the steps of the Art Museum, which the movie Rocky made famous). Running up the steps is optional and not part of the walk.
YR- 1278 East Walk- Historic/Waterfront. This walk will also take you past the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, but also past the house where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Betsy Ross House. The walk will take you along the Delaware River where you will see the USS Olympia (Adm. Dewey's flagship during the Spanish-American War) and the submarine USS Becuna. Then walk past the Vietnam Memorial, through the Italian marketplace and through Chinatown and past the U.S. Mint.
YR-0621 Murals and Sculptures Th is walk will take you past many interesting murals and sculptures in South Philadelphia in addition to many historical landmarks.

Free walkers are welcome. All walkers must fill out, carry and return a start card and sign a Liability Waiver Form.
Award: - Embroidered patch
Parking: Parking is available in the Inn parking garage. There is a charge for parking. Free parking is available on some streets on Sundays.
Restrooms and Water: Both available at the start point (Holiday Inn). Food is also available in the Inn.
Conditions: No littering., pets must be on a leash and must be cleaned up after.

Directions: From PA Turnpike: Take Exit 326 (oldExit 24) (Valley Forge) to Route 76 east. Take Rt. 76 east to Rt.676 east. Take Rt. 676 to the 8th Street (Independence Mall exit. Turn right off the off ramp and go to first traffic light at Race St. Take a left and go 4 blocks to 4th Street. Turn right on 4th and go 1½ blocks to hotel. Parking garage is on left side of hotel building.
From New Jersey Turnpike: Take exit 4 to Rt.73 north to Route 38 west. Follow Rt. 38 west to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Cross this toll bridge into Philadelphia. Take first right hand turn and follow around the sharp "U" turn down to 4th Street and go 2½ blocks to the hotel.
From I-95 (North or South): Take exit 22 and follow signs for Historical Area/ Independence Mall. At bottom of ramp, take a right onto Callowhill Street. Take a left onto 4th and hotel is 4 blocks ahead on the right.
