Welcome back to the site folks, hope you all had a good Christmas and new year. The sites now over 6 years old, how time goes by, I must appologise that i have not been able to do any updates to the site for a very long time as work and my flying seems to take up a lot of time. Previous visitors to the site will notice that a lot of pages are down, Im currently in the process of rewriting these up, I plan to also add a list of RAF losses at some time in the near future.

Sadly when i changed my Internet service Provider the previous Provider did not give me enough time to remove the old site or redirect a new link to this new URL, The old site homepage is still active but most of the links to information are unavailable, since where back online ill be able to answer any questions in the forum or e-mails a lot more frequently now so fire away, I am always looking to add new information to the site so any new input is welcome, Ive added a page for your war-time stories & would like to hear from anyone that was stationed over here during WWII the address is www.langfordlodge.co.uk , always great to hear the stories, also I would just like to make a quick thanks to all the Families of Airmen who have contacted us over the last few years, the main aim of this sight is to help families of deceased airmen at least gain some answers as to what happend to there loved ones as most where never told the circumstances of these accidents, where happy our research and excavations have been of some help over the years and this is a reward in itself.

As always thanks for all your support and comments - Will - Site Admin. Cheers goto Dennis from the Belligerant Aircraft Landings site, his site has a wealth of information on accidents in the south of Ireland

02/03/2008 Updated information,We now have a domain name www.aani.com - Accident list updates >> P-38 42-12753 accident at Langford Lodge involving 92nd Fighter Group pilot Scott Giles from Pasadena, also many others including A-20 43-9883 and P-38 44-23635, B-17 Accident on Cave Hill Belfast also has updated information and pictures. These can be accessed via the accident list.

Excavations 2008 - Well hopefully we can manage to get a few more excavations done this year, with all the hype over this closing the ring film im sure it has sparked some interest in the subject.

Plans "permission pending" this year is to excavate the crash site of Lt Fred Bartons aircraft - a Douglas A-20 Havoc twin engined single seater medium bomber, this accident occured in 1945 south west of Langford Lodge, at the time no cause being able to be determined, but as from previous experience analyzing wreckage at other crash sites this can sometimes reveal clues as to a possible cause that could not be determined in the official investigation in 1945, click the link above for more information
