A Little History I grew up in Hartford (Ohio County) Kentucky. It is the next county directly East of Muhlenburg County so I did plenty of fishing as a child in the good ole' Green River. My father worked as a coal miner for 22 years for (you guessed it) The Peabody Coal Company. Thankfully he was an underground coal miner, so he at least had nothing to do with the demise of Paradise. "Then the coal companies came with the world's largest shovel. Those lines really hit home for me. Basically, they did the same thing to the people that was done to the land..
How I spend my time My favorite things include: Fishing, camping, hiking, boating, (anything else to do with the great outdoors!!). When I'm not working as a "Jack of all trades/Master of none" to the tooling department that performs all the work on the Ford Explorer dies, I love to work in my yard, play horseshoes, and entertain my Cockatoo "BOOMER". He's the love of my life! I've played in bands since I was 14 years old, and I guess I've pretty much played it all. From Country, to Disco, to Rock and Folk, I'd honestly have to say I had the most fun with the last band I was in. It was an 8-piece Motown band called "Leo Night and the Moonlighters". I played keyboards, and performed vocals and harmonies with the band. I'm currently taking a "break" from the whole music scene (as far as playing publicly). After performing most weekends for twenty-four years I've decided to spend my spare time doing things I've not had the chance to do previously. At night when I'm lazing back around a campfire is when my trusty guitar comes out! I love to play Prine songs (any doubt?) along with Buffett, Chapin, Croce, Stevens, Young, Goosecreek Symphony, Dr. Hook, and Lightfoot and many others. I'm really into the "STORYTELLERS". You know, the poets of the written tune. That's where my heart has always been, and you can tell that by the lyrics I write.
