This is a fully built in hutch bookcase in 18 century style. The lower section has
four pairs of double doors and one single door all with 'H' style hinges and shaker pulls.  The doors have raised panels with beaded styles and rails and have been hand planed.  The 3 doors on the right side of the cabinet have metal grilling instead of panels so that the cast iron radiators are hidden but still functional.  The bookcase section is made in a face frame design.  It has solid poplar shelves with a bead and cove design on the front edge.  All the shelving is adjustable.  All the wood surfaces have been hand planed.  The countertop is made from white eastern pine and is hand planed.  Also notice to the right and left of the shelving there are raised panel window shutters.  The have butterfly style hinges and blackend steel latches.  Notice the scribing to the ceiling as it was very uneven.  This is a residential home in East Granby CT.
This is a floor to ceiling mahogany hutch style bookcase.  It has face frame styling with a greek style crown molding made in three sections and coped and pieced together on site.  The doors have tongue and groove styles and rails with a recessed flat panel surrounded by a raised molding.  Seperating each section is a window seat covering a cast iron radiator.  The front of the window seat has metal grilling instead of a panel to allow functioning of the hidden radiators.  All the straight shelving is adjustable and made from solid mahogany with an antique style bullnose edge.  The corner shelving has a scalloped shape (cloverleaf) and is fixed.  The finish is a rich brown red color typical of  high end library paneling and cabinetry.  This is a residential home in Canton CT.
This is a floor to ceiling entertainment center.  It has four sets of doors made in a style that  matches the wainscotting paneling that exists in the house.  The lower six pane glass door make the remote controls still usable for the electronics.  The speaker grilles have been mounted on the doors so the speakers could be heard without the need to open the doors.  The entire unit was installed over the baseboard heating which is vented through the upper arched opening.  Behind the side doors are adjustable triangular shelving to hold VCR cassettes and musica CDs.  The electronics are behind the glass doors on adjustable shelving.  Above the TV area is an adjustable shelf for more storage.
It was built in three sections so it could be brought into the home through the narrow hallways.  It is built from sanded Eastern white pine,  stained dark brown and polyurethaned to match the color of the room.  This is a residential home in Simsbury CT.
