Note: This cemetery is located on Rt. 202 in New Britain. This is the 2nd of 3 parts of the New Britain Baptist Church Cemetery. The stones in this cemetery are in rows, though some of the stones are placed in between rows. I have tried to keep the stones in the order in which I came upon them. The cemetery is in relatively good condition for its age, except for the stones nearest the road, which have deteriorated more than the others. The majority of stones in this section are for individuals who were born in the 18th century. It definitely has the largest concentration of consistently old stones that I have found so far. Where there are blanks or question marks, the data is questionable or unknown. All stones are recorded, whether readable or not. Plots are indicated as such and marked in italics. Transcriptions are done by name with the exact wording of the stone following the name. Stones with pictures are indicated in bold.
Please Note: Due to the age and condition of some of the stones, certain surnames could be misspelled. For example, the last name Duncan could also be Duncan. Most of these instances come from stones with the letter C or G in the names. If I have the incorrect information, please let me know)
Note: This section starts at the rear of the church, from right to left.
