Note: The Newtown Presbyterian Church was built in 1769 and repaired in 1892. The Church congregation has long since moved elsewhere in Newtown. This cemetery is in relatively good condition for it’s age. There are, however, many broken and unintelligible stones. There are also many stones that have been stacked or laid up against the old Church house. Where there are blanks or question marks, the data is questionable or unknown. All stones are recorded, whether readable or not, except for the aforementioned stones. Plots are indicated as such and marked in italics. Transcriptions are done by name with the exact wording of the stone following the name. Stones with pictures are in bold and are hyperlinked if image is online.
